Choosing a care advisor can be a daunting task. To choose a care advisor who fits your needs, consider the following:

1. Qualifications:  Consider how long they’ve been in business. Consider relevant professional education and training. Check online reviews.
   
   
2. Experience: What is the extent of their experience? Since 2011, I have been doing this work. In 2004 I started managing the care of my parents.
   
   
3. Communications: Do you feel listened to fully? Do they clearly explain details of certain practices and policies?
   
   
4. Empathy and Compassion: Do you feel they have genuine concern and understanding of your needs?
   
   
5. Problem-Solving Skills: How well are they at identifying issues and providing solutions?
   
   
6. Fee Structure: What is the fee structure? It's important to know what services are covered and any additional expenses involved.
